Porridge anyone?
For once I’m not entering the great sugar-versus-salt debate in the world of the sticky stuff (or am I just living within a B&B bubble here in Eastbourne?), but rather looking forward to re-living Fletch, Godber and Mackay et al – at the Devonshire Park, two minutes down the road from here at The Guesthouse East, is being transformed into Slade prison from November 23rd – 28th for an adaptation of Porridge. It’s staring Shaun Wiiliamson (who will always be Barry from Eastenders for me) so a great opportunity for a night in Eastbourne with the option for a fresh stroll along the beach in the morning or perhaps a pre-show invigorator. Call 01323 722774 t oreserve accommodation at the award-winning guesthouse.
Just to remind you of what you can see as the light fades (shot courtesy of Tim Fox Evans who stayed here recently).
